Scientists have concluded unusually high populations of garden-worms lead to a
series of devastating- earthquakes in Christchurch in 2010 and 2011.
Home composts
came-in for particular criticism.
To prevent
a re-occurrence citizens of the Christchurch, dubbed The Garden City, have been
urged to concrete over existing composts and tarmac any areas when could offer
garden worms sanctuary.
